Apartment on the ground floor (Vater Rhein) for 1 - 3 people
Our “Vater Rhein” apartment on the ground floor is approximately 55 square meters in size and features a very small terrace (approx. 3 square meters)
Rooms and amenities:
- Living area with a couch and a large TV, dining area with chairs and a reading chair
- Kitchen with plenty of appliances (fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer, complete kitchen equipment)
- Bedroom with a queen-size box-spring bed (160 x 200 cm), TV, and electric roller shades; this room leads out to the small terrace and into the bathroom (en suite = direct access from the bedroom)
- Third room (walk-through room) with a wardrobe, desk, and sofa bed (140 x 200 cm); a travel crib for children can also be placed here if needed
Important: The living room leads into the third room and, adjacent to that, the bedroom. The bathroom can only be accessed through the bedroom (see floor plan). This apartment is therefore particularly suitable for singles, couples, and couples with a child (or close family members).

- Small terrace with seating (3 sqm); unfortunately very small, but due to the building’s structure, we were unable to make it any larger

Our “Mäuseturm” apartment on the first floor is 75 square meters and also features a large terrace.

- Bedroom with a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm), a wardrobe, and a TV
- Large kitchen with plenty of appliances (fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer, complete kitchenware)
- Dining room with table, chairs, and a couch that can be used as a sofa bed if needed (100 x 200 cm)
- Bathroom with shower, large sink, toilet, towels, hair dryer, toilet paper, and small toiletries
- Large terrace (facing the courtyard) with a sunshade and seating area with a table, so you can enjoy meals outdoors in nice weather and relax with a glass of wine on balmy summer evenings

Our “Burg Klopp” apartment on the 2nd floor is approximately 60 square meters and features a small balcony

- Living area with a couch (can also be used as a sofa bed, 140 x 200 cm sleeping surface), large 55-inch TV, dining area, and adjoining kitchen. The entire room can be darkened using the built-in roller blinds.
- Large kitchen with plenty of appliances (fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer, complete kitchen equipment)
- Bedroom with a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm box spring), large wardrobe, and TV; electric roller shutter; access to a small balcony from here
- Bathroom with a large walk-in shower, large sink, toilet, towels, hair dryer, toilet paper, and small toiletries
- Hallway with coat rack and space for suitcases/travel bags
- Very small balcony with seating and a small table (unfortunately, a larger balcony was not permitted due to structural constraints)

Our “Germania” apartment on the 3rd/4th floor (duplex) is approximately 120 square meters and features a loggia

- Large living area (approx. 40 sqm) with a couch, large TV, a lounge area with 3 reading chairs, and a spacious dining area
- Large kitchen with plenty of appliances (fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer, complete kitchen equipment)

- Adjacent to the living area is a loggia with seating (smoking is permitted here with the window open; the well-insulated door to the living area prevents smoke from entering)

Getting here
You can easily reach us by car or train.
If you’re traveling by car, you’re welcome to rent one of our two private parking spaces for the duration of your stay. These are located about 160 meters from our house, on private property.
The cost is 6.00 euros per day; for arrival and departure days, we charge 3.00 euros. For stays of 5 nights or more, we’ll give you one day of parking for free.
It’s best to inquire about the parking spaces directly when booking; we’ll then let you know if the parking space(s) are still available during that time.
Alternatively, you can park in the public parking lots in front of the house. Here, you also pay 6.00 euros per day, or 1.00 euro per hour. However, since these are very busy, especially during the high season (April to October) due to the high volume of tourists, we are happy to be able to rent you two private parking spaces.
If you are arriving by train, you have two possible stops:
Bingen Stadt Station: just a 350-meter walk to us
Bingen Hauptbahnhof Station: a 1.2-kilometer walk to us, or take the bus for two stops (Line 601 toward Stadtbahnhof, get off at the Hospitalstraße stop), then it’s about 100 meters to us
Neighbourhood
Our house is located in the heart of Bingen, so you can easily reach all the main attractions on foot.
Just a few steps through the underpass and you’ll find yourself in Hindenburg Park (the former site of the State Garden Show).
From here, you can take various boat tours, enjoy a glass of fine Bingen wine right on the banks of the Rhine, or simply go for a stroll.
If you’d rather see some of Bingen, we recommend a visit to the basilica, Klopp Castle, or Rochusberg with its Rochus Chapel. Everything is within walking distance; you can also reach Rochusberg by bus.
Since Bingen’s old town was unfortunately almost completely destroyed during World War II, there isn’t much left of “old Bingen” in the city center. Still, it’s worth a quick visit. Small shops and a few restaurants invite you to stroll and linger.
